Awesome Thunderbolt

I LOVE root beer and you can’t get any decent root beer in the UK (the Australian stuff from Waitrose is okay but I am too poor/nowhere near a Waitrose.) I have to order cases of diet Barq’s off Amazon, which isn’t bad because it comes right to my door. It also stops me drinking as much. Also, for about five years, from the time of first trying Barq’s, I couldn’t read the label and called it “Bangs”.

These are alligator bites. They taste just like slightly sweetened chicken bites. Which makes me wonder why we eat alligator? It was yummy, and id never eaten alligator before, so that’s probably why.

Beignets! Basically doughnuts for breakfast, covered in icing sugar, which gets everywhere in the wind, and absolutely delicious!

Day 16 (which should have been yesterday) is “experimenting with light”. Here is a tree in the courtyard of our New Orleans hotel. The white glare is not from the sun, but from my gameboy iphone cover. We walked past a film set today and I could have used one of their flood lights for a light experiment, but hunger pangs took us toward the restaurant by the river.
